As some of you may know, running is a (small) hobby of mine. It’s been a good way for me to stay healthy, blow off stress, and occasional scope out some well-implemented run giveaways. I’ve actually done a little writing about the giveaways at a few of the races I’ve run, the Philadelphia Broad Street Run and the PROMOTIONS EAST Howard Alan Blum 5K 4 5K, which you can read about by clicking their titles here.
One of my friends completed a race this weekend, and received one of the odder reward items I’ve ever seen. It was a small, about 1×2″, metal plaque, decorated with the name of the race and some reasonably nice artwork (cool multicolor etching with a neat texture). It was pretty enough, sure, but it had no stand, was different on its front and back, and had no obvious mechanism for display, like necklace loops or whatever. So, what exactly are you supposed to do with a 2″ award without a stand?
This odd award got me wondering, what are the best run rewards out there? If you do work for races, or you’re a runner yourself, drop me a comment below and let me know a few of the best items you’ve ever seen.
Thanks for reading guys, and see you all next week!
